Cenergistic Makes $5,000 Donation

Thank you to Cenergistic for a donation of $5,000 to the Bibb County Education Foundation on September 21, 2023, to support students and education in Bibb County School District! Bibb County School District has cut expected energy use by 29 percent since partnering with Cenergistic, the pioneer and leading provider of technology-enabled conservation services, which will present board members and administrators its Cenergistic Best-In-Class Award at the September 21 Board meeting.

Foundation Hosts First Golf Tournament

The Bibb County Education Foundation hosted the Bibb County School District’s 150th Anniversary Golf Tournament at Bowden Golf Course on April 15, 2023. About REACH Georgia

In 2016, the Bibb County School District was one of numerous school districts in Georgia to join the REACH Scholarship Program. The REACH Scholarship Program was launched in 2012 and is a needs-based mentorship and scholarship program designed to encourage students, starting in middle school, to persist in their educational pursuits. Students are provided with the academic, social and financial support needed to graduate from high school, attend college, achieve post-secondary success and be prepared for the 21 ^st century workforce.

The REACH Foundation provides 75 percent of the funding for the scholarships and local school districts must raise the remainder. This means that upon their graduation from a Bibb County high school, each REACH Scholar will receive a $10,000 scholarship for college. Some partnering colleges and universities in Georgia will even match or double-match this amount for REACH Scholars.

Middle Georgia Golf Enthusiasts Make Donation to Rutland High Golf Program

Thank you to Langhorne Golf, a group of about 40 golf enthusiasts from throughout Middle Georgia, for a donation to the Rutland High School Golf Program!

Forrest B. Johnson Law Firm Supports Schools, Campus Police Program

Community partner Forrest B. Johnson & Associates continued the firm's wonderful commitment to our Foundation and District.

Representatives from the firm, including Mr. Johnson, stopped by to donate $5,000 to both Southwest High School and Ballard-Hudson Middle School. Additionally, each Campus Police officer received gas cards worth $100.

Superintendent Dr. Dan A. Sims highlighted the continued partnership between the firm and the District as key to reaching goals.

"Because you get it, we'll get there quicker," Dr. Sims said.
